Construction Company Faces Business Contract Dispute

Business owners have to deal with all types of issues. For example, there are even some clients in California and other states who may not be satisfied with their services. Many times, this can lead to a breach of contract lawsuit being filed against a company as a result of a business contract dispute.
One construction company found itself in the midst of litigation surrounding a contract dispute recently. The company’s former clients, a couple, are suing the construction firm after they had spent over $80,000 on repairs to their property. The plaintiffs claim that the company acted unprofessionally and misrepresented its qualifications. The couple claims that they had attempted to avoid litigation by resolving the issue amicably; however, the defendants have failed to properly compensate them for damages.
The couple’s lawsuit alleges that the construction company failed to finish several tasks, such as driveway repairs, installing wood floors, counter top installation, installing new carpeting and various other items, which they claim had been part of the agreed-upon service contract. The plaintiffs also allege that the construction workers left behind paint splatters, fingerprints and garbage. The couple further claims that the construction workers damaged their front garden.
The plaintiffs are asking for an unspecified amount of monetary reimbursement in the business contract dispute filed with the court. However, just like any other case in California or elsewhere, a business also has the right to have its side of the story heard. This is why the construction company will want to properly prepare to present its case in front of the court.
