Business Merger Will Make Marriott Largest Hotel In The World

Companies in California often choose to combine assets with other businesses. Reasons for such ventures often vary. Sometimes a business merger is designed to save a failing company; other times it may been seen as a way to expand an already successful enterprise. Marriott International has recently made plans to finalize an important merger that is slated to make the hotel chain the largest in the world.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide is the party with whom Marriott is entering a business merger. As is quite common with such transactions, there have been some obstacles along the way. However, the massive hotel chain has recently reported that it has received the final regulatory approval necessary to become the world's largest international hotel business.
Up until a recent Tuesday, Marriott had apparently been waiting for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce to approve its merger plans. It was the final approval necessary for plans to be able to come to fruition. Finalization of plans was slated to occur on an upcoming Friday now that no more hurdles exist.
Whether dealing with huge international corporations or small private business establishments, an experienced business and commercial law attorney can assist in many ways when it comes to mergers and acquisitions. Any California company owner considering a business merger may seek information and guidance by requesting a meeting with a business lawyer in the area. As an advocate, an attorney will work to protect bottom line interests and obtain the best possible results to accomplish immediate and long-term business goals.
