Business contract dispute erupts over invoices for ad placement

Not too many things in life are free. This is definitely true when doing business in California. When a business enters into a contract with an individual or another company to provide services, the business expects to be compensated in accordance with the terms agreed upon in the contract. Failure to do so can result in a business contract dispute.

One company seems to have found itself in the middle of this type of situation recently. The company, ENTU Auto Services Inc., has decided to file a lawsuit against Big Easy Auto LLC, which is doing business as LaPalco Motors II. The lawsuit filed in mid-June alleges that the defendant auto dealership has breached a service contract by not paying the plaintiff company for services provided. According to the lawsuit, the defendant had contracted the plaintiff to post online advertisements in early September 2014.

ENTU Auto Services, Inc., claims that LaPalco Motors II failed to pay 14 invoices sent by the plaintiff. The invoices are reported to total more than $2,000. The plaintiff is asking to be compensated for the unpaid invoices. The services were contracted to last through 2015.

The plaintiff will now have to argue its case in the court of law in order to obtain any fees owed for unpaid invoices. On the other hand, the defendant company also has a legal right to defend itself against the allegations. Just like in any business contract dispute in California, the side with the strongest legal argument based upon evidence and testimony will have the best chances of prevailing.
