2 dentists decide on business merger

When choosing business partners in California, it is a good idea for the principals to have some things in common. This provides shared perspectives upon which a business can build. It can also play a significant role in efficiency and can make a new business more profitable in the long-term. Two women dentists seem to have found this type of bond and are now looking to complete a business merger in a midwestern state.

The two dentists grew up in the same hometown approximately 13 miles apart from one another, but they had never met. Both traveled different paths in establishing their respective dental practices. One worked for six years as a chemical engineer before deciding on a career change to dentistry. She graduated from dental school in 2012.

The other dentist graduated from dental school in 2007 and then joined the U.S. Air Force. The former engineer returned to her hometown to be closer to her family. She ended up taking over the practice of a retiring dentist in July 2012. After meeting and learning about their common ground, they realized they worked well together and decided to merge their two dental practices.

The business merger, just like any merger in California, will require going through the proper legal channels in order to be completed. This will include submitting the proper documents to the correct regulating agencies. Also, one should ensure the business plan for the merged company will be in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Failure to do so could result in significant problems in the future, and it is far preferable to handle these issues correctly at the outset of a new business relationship.
